Illustration 17 shows a dia­gram of an over­view re­gard­ing the phase link­ing of heart and breath­ing rhythm so far proven in hu­mans with other func­tional rhythms re­lated in the spec­trum, where­by the ar­bi­trary motor rhythms are also in­cluded. The breath­ing and heart rhythm are in the cen­ter of a polar field of ten­sion of the rhyth­mic or­gani­za­tion of hu­mans. Here, the har­monic regu­la­ting prin­ci­ples meet the dis­solv­ing in­flu­ences of the per­form­ance-de­ter­mined fre­quency modu­la­tions of the rhyth­mic func­tions.
The phase link­ing be­tween the rhythms con­trib­utes to the func­tional econ­omy by aim­ing at cer­tain co-ac­tion po­si­tions, and can spec­ify whole num­bered-har­monic fre­quency ra­tios.
